Buildings & Classrooms
The Department of Philology of the University of Patras is housed in seven independent single-storey buildings, located on the northwestern side of the University Campus, within close proximity to one another.
You may locate the classroom you are interested in and view information regarding its operating schedule below.
Secretariat (K17)
The Secretariat is housed in building K17. The same building also accommodates the Department’s Meeting Room as well as the Postgraduate Seminar Room.
“PAM 14” Amphitheatre (K10.17)
The PAM 14 Amphitheatre has a seating capacity of 180 and is located in building K10.17.
“A/D” Amphitheatre (K3)
The “A/D” Amphitheatre has a seating capacity of 170 and is located in building K3.
Researchers’ Offices
The Researchers’ Offices (for doctoral candidates, visiting researchers, etc.) are housed in part of building K2.
Center for Digital Research and Study (K10)
The Center for Digital Research & Study includes a multifunctional room equipped with digital infrastructure (30 computers, printers, scanners, facilities for video projections and teleconferencing), reference books, and copies of textbooks related to courses included in the Study Programmes.
The room is used for teaching seminars and laboratory exercises, for individual or group study, as well as for research, bibliographic support, and other informational activities.
Faculty Offices (K7)
The western wing of the building houses the offices of the faculty members of Linguistics and Byzantine Philology.
The eastern wing of the building houses the offices of the faculty members of Classical and Modern Greek Philology.
The same building also accommodates the Aula classroom and the Conventiculum seminar room.
“K9” Amphitheatre (K19)
The “K9” Amphitheatre has a seating capacity of 80 and is located in building K19.
“Olga Vartzio̱ti” Amphitheatre (K7)
The “Olga Vartzio̱ti” Amphitheatre has a seating capacity of 98 and is located in building K7.
Faculty Offices (K19)
Building K19 houses offices for faculty members and researchers of the Department.
