Department Administration and Collective Bodies

The Chair of the Department is Professor of Modern Greek Literature Ioannis Papatheodorou.

The Vice Chair is Professor of Linguistics Anna Roussou, and the Secretary is Mr. Fotis Kaspiris.

The Director of the Master’s Programme “Linguistics: Language and Communication” is Professor of Linguistics Argyris Archakis.

The Director of the Master’s Programme “Contemporary Approaches to Texts: Readings and Interpretations” is Professor of Modern Greek Literature Georgia Gotsi.

The following Specialization Coordinators have been appointed:
– for the Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies specialization, Eirini-Sofia Kiapidou
– for the Linguistics specialization, Argyris Archakis
– for the Classical Studies specialization, Angeliki Syrkou

The highest governing body of the Department is the General Assembly, which is composed of faculty members, one representative of the Special Teaching Staff (EDIP/ETEP), and the elected student representatives.

 

The management of the Department’s academic and administrative affairs is entrusted to committees and working groups with a one-year term of office, in which faculty members, EDIP/ETEP members, and members of the administrative staff participate.
